Blog Post: Chapter 9/Peer Review

Two part Blog Post:

Referring to the peer review process for student websites, please state three changes you would recommend for your peer’s website and justify reasons for those changes.

I reviewed my peers website and have a few suggestions that an employer would appreciate. The website was in need of an “About Me” page. The actual page was present but there was no information on the page. An employer would also appreciate a resume to see any work history or experience. Lastly and employer would should be able to navigate the website easily to find this information and the posts which can only be accessed, at this time, by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page.

Citing the text for specific supportive evidence, name one positive aspect and one negative aspect that influenced your adolescent development.

One positive aspect that influenced my adolescence was my peers. I was, mostly, surrounded by like minded peers who were interested in academic progress, but also in school activities to increase social awareness. Also, my access to many school groups widened my perspectives and allowed me to find acceptance in the fact that I was not easily fit into one box or one type of group. One negative aspect that influenced my adolescence was often myself and my battle with hormones and lack of maturity, while I felt my maturity level was much higher than it really was at the time. My egocentric tendencies had waned but were still prominent. My mother used an authoritative parenting style and was wonderful though at the time I did not think so (and have since apologized for my behaviors at that time in my life) and helped me to learn better perspective taking.
