My blog was reviewed by Willie who suggested I add a resume to my site, add bullet points or some way to draw the eye to know that one should scroll down when on my “About me” page and to add a page stating my goals. As I did not want my resume out there for all of the internet I added a spot on my “Contact me” page stating a resume could be requested. I could not add bullet points to my “about me” page and it still flow so increases the letter and bolded the headings so it was more eye catching. I also didn’t want to devote an entire page to goals as I knew it would only be a short couple of sentences, so I added my goals to the “about me” page.
- Explain the relationship between stress, physical health, and mental health as it relates to subjective well-being as concretely evidenced by the text. (a client needed the explanation between stress level and how it affects their overall well-being)
When speaking with a client about the affects of stress, physical health and mental health as it relates to their subjective well-being I would emphasize the need for coping skills and strategies to help them adapt. Blewitt and Broderick (2015) explain how having coping skills and the ability to adapt to difficult situations cause a person to become resilient. This resilience is a protective factor. Having protective factors like resilience, or a good social and cultural support system prevent a person from lingering in a depressive or stressful state.
